The 2026 Kia Sorento Hybrid has been made for families who want more space without giving up efficiency. It brings hybrid power, useful seating and simple technology into one comfortable SUV. For us here at Milton Kia, it feels like a vehicle that can fit easily into everyday life. It can handle school runs in Milton, shopping trips around town and longer drives towards Kelso Conservation Area or across the Niagara Escarpment.
The 2026 Kia Sorento Hybrid is powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged four cylinder engine working with an electric motor. Combined output is rated at 227 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent through a six speed automatic transmission. All wheel drive is available, which can be helpful when winter weather brings snow and slippery roads to Milton. Fuel use is rated at about 6.8 L/100 km combined, depending on the selected configuration. A trailer can also be brought along, with towing capacity rated at up to 2,000 lb when properly equipped. The hybrid system has been made to give you useful power while helping reduce fuel use during everyday driving.
The Sorento Hybrid has been made with family space in mind. Seating is provided for six people in the available configuration. The second row can be used for passengers while the third row adds extra seating when needed. When more room is required, the rear seats can be folded to create a larger cargo area. Up to 2,139 litres of cargo space can be made available with the rear seats folded. This can be useful for groceries, sports gear or luggage before a weekend trip. Cloth seating is offered on select models, giving the cabin a simple and comfortable feel.
A 12.3-inch touchscreen display is available inside the 2026 Sorento Hybrid. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are supported, so a compatible phone can be connected for everyday entertainment and communication. Bluetooth connectivity is also included. Wireless smartphone charging is available, helping keep a compatible phone powered without adding another cable to the cabin. Comfort has also been given plenty of attention. Heated front seats can be useful during cold Ontario mornings. Available ventilated front seats can help when summer temperatures rise. A heated steering wheel is also available. A smart key with push button start makes getting in and starting the SUV simple. Power door locks and available heated outside mirrors add more convenience. Depending on the trim, a premium audio system with multiple speakers can also be included for a better sound experience.
The 2026 Kia Sorento Hybrid has been equipped with a range of driver assistance features. Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist and Blind Spot Collision Warning are included to provide added support during everyday driving. Rear Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist can also help when reversing out of a parking space. More advanced features are available as well. Smart Cruise Control can help maintain a set speed and distance from the vehicle ahead. Highway Driving Assist can provide extra support on longer highway trips. Surround View Monitor and Blind Spot View Monitor are also available on selected versions. These features can be useful around busy Milton streets, parking lots and longer Ontario road trips.
The 2026 Kia Sorento Hybrid brings together useful power, flexible space and modern comfort. It has been made to suit busy families while offering the benefits of hybrid driving.
