Kia Canada has scored the role of main sponsor of the Canadian Hockey League.
The five-year partnership with the League extends to Kia dealerships across the country and for Milton Kia, that means being the title sponsor for the Milton Winterhawks Hockey Club.
“We will be participating in events with the Club throughout the hockey season,” says general manager Chris Loach, who goes on to explain that the dealership will be sponsoring a Milton Winterhawks team in each age group. “We’ll be showing up to as many games as possible to support the teams.”
Milton Kia will also be offering financial support through donations to the Club.
“For every Milton Winterhawks family member that test drives a vehicle at our store throughout the season, we’ll make a donation to the Club.”
And, during Milton Kia Champs Week, which runs Sunday March 24 through 31, the dealership will invite all 2,500 Milton Winterhawks families to an ongoing event where employees will be serving up food and drinks for the families to enjoy at a barbecue while checking out Kia’s spacious vehicles, which are perfectly suited to hockey families thank to the plentiful storage that can easily accommodate multiple hockey bags. “To show our commitment to the teams, we will be offering a donation to the hockey club for every test drive completed at this event too,” Loach adds.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for us to support our community and make a difference,” Loach says of Kia Canada’s sponsorship and his dealership’s commitment to the Milton Winterhawks Hockey Club.
Celebrating a decade in business, Milton Kia is set to focus now, more than ever, on customers and being involved in the community.
“Kia has been growing and so will Milton Kia,”says the dealership’s General Manager, Sales, Fortunato Pezzo.“We’ve seen a lot of new models, re-designs and stronger promotions and we are becoming more involved in the community, working with the Milton Winterhawks and local businesses. We are investing more into the business and community than ever before.”
Last September, Milton Kia became the title sponsor for the Milton Winterhawks Hockey Association, a sponsorship that coincided with Kia Canada’s announcement to sponsor the Canadian Hockey League.
The result is that many of the dealership’s familiar faces will be out and about at Winterhawk games this season and offering Winterhawk families additional special promotions when they test drive Milton Kia vehicles.
Many of those familiar faces are long-serving Milton Kia employees, many of whom have worked at the dealership since it opened in 2009.
But as the dealership grows, new faces are joining the team as well, with four new staff members recently joining the team to help maintain the company’s philosophy of putting customers first, a mission by Dealer Principle Carl Boedecker and daughter Lisa Belanger had when they first opened Milton KIA.
Those new members, including Pezzo, Maurizio Galli, New and Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Manager, John Hopmans Service Manager, and Jamie Cleary, Fixed Operations Foreman.
Each bring a knowledge of cars and a passion for making car sales easier to the management team.
Of course Milton Kia remains focused on offering high-quality cars to customers too.
New to the Kia lineup and available now at the dealership are the 2019 models of the Stinger and Forte.
“With so many options available at Milton Kia, we’re making it easier for customers to find their ideal car while making purchasing simple,” Pezzo explains.
